Our philosophy is that students come to CLHS from a variety of backgrounds, but share the need to be accepted by self and others, to articulate and achieve goals in life and to grow in their personal faith. As a Christian educational institution of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, CLHS is privileged to provide a Christian environment in which the needs of the church, family and its students can be met. In this environment students are given opportunities to practice both Christian, family and civic responsibilities and to experience a broad, yet challenging and structured, academic and extra-curricular program.

- No School on Monday...EVER! Classes will be Tuesday-Friday.
- Reduces transportation cost for our families.
Increased Academic Time!
- Still maintaining the high academic standards, students will have more opportunity to work one on one with teachers making learning more fun and easier. CLHS continues to exceed ACT state average test scores which increases our students college scholarship opportunities.
- The block schedule has been very successful in preparing our students for studies at the post-secondary level
- Addition of a NEW BLOCK 5 to each day of the school week
- This block will be used for Physical Education classes, Driver Education classes, Fine Arts electives, and teacher/student meetings
- The school day will begin at 8:15am and final dismissal will be at 3:35pm
